Collection: Custom Process

Our Custom Jewellery Process

At Nar Jewellery, creating custom pieces is more than just crafting—it’s about bringing your story to life through timeless design and exceptional craftsmanship. From the first spark of an idea to the moment you wear your finished piece, we ensure every step is handled with precision and care.

1. Design Selection or Collaboration

  • Explore Pre-Made Designs – Our design team has meticulously crafted thousands of custom designs, which are uploaded to our website for easy browsing. Clients can select a design that resonates with them and start the custom process immediately.
  • 1-on-1 Custom Design – For those seeking something truly unique, we offer personalized consultations. We collaborate closely to create a brand-new design, translating your ideas into a bespoke piece that reflects your style and vision.
  • 3D Rendering – For full custom designs, we provide a detailed digital 3D rendering, allowing clients to see the design from every angle before production begins. This ensures every detail is perfected and approved.

2. Wax Model Creation

  • Precision Wax Modeling – Once the design is approved, our craftsmen create a wax model that serves as a physical prototype of the final piece. This step is essential for visualizing the scale, dimensions, and overall structure.
  • Client Review (Optional) – For intricate pieces, clients may review the wax model in person or through photos before casting, allowing for minor adjustments to ensure the design aligns with their vision.

3. Gold Casting

  • Expert Goldsmithing – The approved wax model is then encased in plaster to create a mold. The wax is melted away, leaving a cavity where molten gold is poured to form the structure of the jewellery.
  • Karat Options – Clients can choose between 10k, 14k, and 18k gold, depending on their preferences for durability, color, and luxury.
  • Casting Inspection – Once the piece is cast, we conduct a thorough quality control check to ensure the casting is smooth, free from imperfections, and meets our high standards.

4. Refinement and Cleaning

  • Hand Finishing – After casting, the piece is carefully filed, smoothed, and polished by our experienced goldsmiths. Every surface and detail is refined to ensure a flawless finish.
  • Structural Inspection – At this stage, we inspect the structural integrity of the piece, ensuring that prongs, clasps, or other functional elements are solid and ready to hold the diamonds or gemstones securely.

5. Diamond and Gemstone Calibration

  • Stone Selection and Matching – If the design features diamonds or gemstones, each stone is meticulously chosen to match in size, color, and clarity. This guarantees uniformity and enhances the overall brilliance of the piece.
  • Calibration and Setting – Every stone is calibrated to fit precisely within its designated spot. For intricate pavé or halo designs, this ensures the stones sit flush against the metal, creating a seamless and radiant finish.

6. Setting the Stones

  • Precision Stone Setting – Our master setters carefully secure each diamond or gemstone by hand. Whether it’s a solitaire prong setting or micro-pavé work, this stage demands precision to ensure the stones are secure, level, and enhance the piece’s sparkle.

Types of Settings:

  • Prong Setting – Maximizes the light entering the stone for maximum brilliance.
  • Channel Setting – Diamonds are set into the band, offering a sleek, continuous look.
  • Bezel Setting – Surrounds the diamond with a thin metal rim for a modern, protective finish.
  • Pavé Setting – Small diamonds are set closely together, creating a dazzling, surface-like sparkle.

7. Final Polish and Detailing

  • High Polish Finish – After the stones are set, the entire piece undergoes a final polish, ensuring every surface is radiant and reflective. This step is essential for enhancing the shine and beauty of the jewellery.
  • Engraving (Optional) – Personalized engravings can be added at this stage, adding sentimental value to the piece.

8. Quality Control and Media Presentation

  • Comprehensive Quality Inspection – Before the piece is finalized, our quality control team conducts a thorough inspection, ensuring the jewellery meets our craftsmanship standards.
  • Photography and Presentation – Each piece is photographed by our media team to capture its brilliance, ready for client previews or website showcases.

9. Packaging and Delivery

  • Elegant Packaging – Every custom piece is carefully packaged in our signature boxes, reflecting the care and quality that went into creating it.
  • Secure Shipping – The jewellery is shipped fully insured with signature confirmation required, ensuring its safe arrival.

Timeline

  • Production Time – Custom jewellery typically takes between 3 to 7 weeks to complete, depending on the complexity of the design. This timeline ensures that each step is given the attention and precision it deserves.

At Nar Jewellery, every custom piece is a reflection of our craftsmanship, passion, and your unique story. Whether you choose from our pre-made designs or collaborate on something entirely new, we ensure that each piece is crafted to perfection.
